The Catholic-inspired dresses worn by numerous celebrities at the Met Gala last night caught many people’s attention. However, the most understated look of the evening could also be considered the most contentious.
Scarlett Johansson confidently made her way down the red carpet alongside her beau, Colin Jost, donning a stunning two-toned burgundy ombre gown made by the fashion label Marchesa. Interestingly enough, Marchesa is co-owned by Georgina Chapman, the ex-wife of infamous Hollywood producer, Harvey Weinstein.
Johansson, known for her role in the movie “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” produced by Weinstein, has openly expressed her support for the MeToo and Time’s Up initiatives.
